I realize I never posted my menu for my annual Academy festivities. So, here:
- Roast pork butt (prepared Hawaiian style, for the Descendants)
- Buttermilk chicken poppers (for the Help; I am using Greg’s recipe!)
- Black (bean) and white (cheddar) soup (The Artist)
- Red beans and rice (Idek what this is for besides starch)
- Chocolate shortbread “Hollywood Stars” (shamelessly stolen from Epicurious, JDoll to make)
- Chocolate cheesecake dip (for the Artist, idk, the theme of the party is black and white, so)
- We will also have cheese (for Midnight in Paris), chips etc (Moneyball), and black and white cookies (The Artist again)!
- Two drinks: the ChiChi (a Hawaiian coconut, pineapple and vodka blended drink) and a “Don’t Drink and Drive” cocktail (bourbon, chambord, cranberry juice, and a splash of sour mix)
- ALSO CHAMPAGNE
And MsA will be making fried wontons, her specialty. As I told her earlier, I am once again unreasonably excited for this party and the awards!
Oooh, I can’t wait! This party will be both fascist and awesome, the perfect combination.
