Most Improved from the Golden Globes:

Natalie Portman in Rodarte. I didn’t love it, although the color looks gorgeous on her and Rodarte is always a favorite of mine—she looked pretty, happy and comfortable. I wish she’d gone with a contrasting color in her earrings—like a turquoise, yellow, orange, green or even light pink would have really popped. For example, Cameron Diaz’s berry-hued Dior dress + turquoise jewelry:

I like the tassel earrings, but contrasting jewelry would have bumped the interest level way up. I’m not Cammy D fan, but this Oscar look was definitely superior to Natalie’s.

Excellent choices. I think I’ve made peace with Mila Kunis’s boobs. If she had had a nip slip during Oscar night, I would be all, “I TOLD YOU! PUT THEM AWAY! TOO DANGEROUS!” But everything stayed in place, and the dress is indisputably lovely in every other way, so she can take her deserved place on the Best Dressed list.

The only part of Black Swan that I enjoyed.
