“He looked so—what was it that gave him his irresistible charm? He looked so accessible. That was it. A great simple truth struck me with surprise: charm is availability.”
—Elaine Dundy, The Old Man and Me
“Of all of us, when we finished the show, she was the one who had the clearest idea about what it was that she wanted to do. To be able to go out and achieve that is no small feat. I just think it’s wonderful. It’s surreal in that it would be surreal to see any of our best friends up for an Oscar. It’s amazing, she’s an excellent actress.”

In vino veritas, I guess.
Charming.
It blows my mind how the writers of DC thought it was ok for their “hero” to be such a grade-A asshole to everyone around him, and never be called on it. I don’t remember how many times Pacey punched Dawson over the course of six season (twice?) but it wasn’t nearly enough.
“It’s really important for me that you be happy. So I want you to be with someone, whether it be Dawson or New York guy or some man that you haven’t even met yet. But I want you to be with someone who can be a part of the life that you want for yourself. I want you to be with someone who makes you feel like I feel when I’m with you. So, I guess the point to this long run-on sentence that’s been the last 10 years of our lives is just that the simple act of being in love with you is enough for me. So you’re off the hook.”

This dance? The only reason not to fast forward through the DC credits.

JOEY; “The little mermaid could not take her eyes from the ship, or from the beautiful prince. The colored lanterns had been extinguished, no more rockets rose in the air and the cannon had ceased firing; but the sea became restless, and a moaning, grumbling sound could be heard beneath the waves.”
PACEY; “After a while, the sails were quickly unfurled, and the noble ship continued her passage; but soon, the waves rose higher, heavy clouds darkened the sky and lightning appeared in the distance. A dreadful storm was approaching; once more the sails were reefed and the great ship pursued her flying course over the raging sea. To the little mermaid this appeared pleasant sport; not so for the sailors.” [sees she’s asleep]
Dawson’s Creek, 4x01 Coming Home
A summer of sleeping in a hammock would kill your back, and holding hands in that position would kill your circulatory system. And a summer of not having sex with Pacey would kill even the most resolute virgin. So I don’t buy it—but I love them, so I’ll buy it and pay double.
Things I Loved in 2010 - Dawson’s Creek
I think I’m in love with you
Again, obviously didn’t come out in 2010, but I’m discovering gems of old school WB and Dawson’s was obviously my first stop. (yes i’m still not technically done marathoning but that doesn’t discount the amount i loved seasons 2-4. Pacey Witter has honestly become one of my favorite male characters ever so thank you for bringing my love of Joshua Jackson back in full force 2010. Its taking everything I have not to start watching Fringe just for his face in my life again.
I am watching, at this very moment, the DC episode where Pacey and Joey take ballroom dancing classes. I cannot fucking wait for these two fools to finally realize how in love they are, and to tell Dawson to stuff it.
PACEY: But you couldn’t possibly of thought that you could solve all of your problem in one night with alcohol of all things.
JOEY: No.
PACEY: No. Cause alcohol, you know, has that effect on problems, it just never solves them, ever. And I would hate to think that I fell in love with a moron.
JOEY: So you’re in love with me, huh?
PACEY: Well, not currently, no. Right now you’re just some crazy drunk girl I gotta get in that door without waking up all the paying customers at her sister’s B&B. But generally speaking, yes.
JOEY: May I kiss you right now?
PACEY: Yes, please. [Joey kisses him] But I’m still not carrying you.
JOEY: Please?
PACEY: Nope. [Joey looks at him] You can give me the eyes it’s just not gonna work. Oh, come on. Honestly. [Joey kisses him] You think I’m gonna fall for this? Jo. Halfway. That’s it. I swear. I’m not kidding. My back’s killing me here.Dawson’s Creek, 4x04 Future Tense

This gif makes me so happy, but I can’t forget how every single episode of season 4 of Dawson’s Creek consists of 40 minutes of Joey being made at Pacey for something stupid, 3 minutes of Pacey apologizing even though he has nothing to apologize for, and then 2 minutes of them being happy. But those two minutes…
