You can see the exact moment in Amanda’s eyes where she thinks, “Oh, you’re still… there. On top of me. Latched onto my back like a barnacle with no concept of personal space. Alright then.”
Someone on Twitter said “Anne Hathaway in Les Me” and I concur.
Sometimes I get annoyed at how good other people are at Photoshop. It starts at jealous then rounds the corner and arrives at annoyed.
This was the moment when I thought, “Goddamn, there need to be Catwoman-themed workout classes” and also, “Did I just become a lesbian?”
This was the moment when I said, “Ok, Hathaway, you win—I now begrudgingly like you.”
It started out well! Anne Hathaway was excited about her evening, she’d spent a lot of time getting ready, and could now look forward to four hours with someone she took to be a charismatic and handsome man.
But that is NOT how the evening unfolded.
My friend Ryan W. tweeted last night, “James and Anne increasingly resemble every couple in college from which I tried to rescue the female half.” SO TRUE.
I must see this.
Should read the book before the movie comes out!
