Fireflies on the Water isan installation made of 150 lights, mirrors and water.
It offers an out-of-this-world experience from the confines of a modest room paneled with mirrors and adorned with 150 tiny beads of light deliberately suspended throughout the compact space. Upon entering the room, there’s an illusionary effect that gives the impression of infinite space reflected on all sides and in the two inches of water that flows below.

This morning my subway car was stopped at 79th St for 25 minutes because of a “sick passenger” up ahead (we all know that’s code but I’m going to pretend I don’t know what it’s code for). I was late to work, but I got to read about 40 pages of Wild, by Cheryl Strayed, so I wasn’t complaining.

Finally a watercolor painting after three months of endlessly using the tablet. I’m glad I haven’t completely lost touch.

Also, if you haven’t watched Drive, go get the bluray or something. It will become the most amazing thing you’ll have ever seen.

Resolution: do a watercolor painting of a boat that’s good enough to put up in my bedroom. I have no photos or posters of boats in my room and that’s a crime.
