Between Amanda and Mila, I think I need to invest in a big black hairbow. And also try to appear exclusively in black and white artfully shot photos.
Isla Fisher slays me—I think she’s the most underrated comedic actress around. Well, maybe tied with Rose Byrne. They should get a Showtime series together where they play flawed, damaged, good-hearted and freaking hilarious women.
A few nights ago I watched the NBCSN recap of the heptathlon and decathlon. I was already a little bit in love with Jessica Ennis—just because how can you not love that face, those abs, and that extraordinary athletic ability?—but what really impressed me was her attitude. No other Olympian came into the games with as much pressure to succeed as she did, and you could tell she felt it. But at no point did it seem like that pressure or weighing her down, or that she considered the possibility of cracking. Instead, she let Team GB’s expectations lift her up and perform even better. Seeing her face shift, over six events, from laser focus to pure joy to gratitude to gracious, made it clear why she’s an icon in England. “Our Jess!”
MOM?
Just when I thought I couldn’t love her anymore, J.Law acts like a little lost duckling on the red carpet.

Jennifer Lawrence graces the cover of Glamour UK’s April 2012 issue.
I love this Marchesa dress, both on J.Law and on Shailene Woodley at the Golden Globes. Looks like they added some extra poof on the skirt for the magazine shoot, though.
I love her soooOOOOooooOOOOO much, you guys. Please, please put her in a smart comedy so she can smile and be charming and have blonde hair again.
GLEE - Full Performance of “Smooth Criminal” airing TUE 1/31 (by GleeOnFox)
Ok, so I decided to break my “don’t watch shows that are so poorly written you spend far more time raging at the bad writing then you do actually enjoying the show” rule this week, twice. First for Blair’s wedding on Gossip Girl, then for Michael Jackson on Glee. I’m thinking if I watch those two episodes at the gym, running on the treadmill, the guilt will be pretty much leveled out.
Also, goddamn do I love me some Santana. I hope her album is like Since U Been Gone-era Kelly Clarkson, and not any era of Jennifer Love Hewitt.
