Yesss. I asked my sister what she thought about her bridesmaids wearing flowers in their up-dos and she shot it down lightning-bolt fast. But that just makes me even more determined to rock some braided-in flowers in my hair from now to August 31st.

Oooh, NY Mag gave Elle Fanning pink hair! I’m sure it’s chalk but it looks great. I just got an idea: within five minutes of seeing me on Thanksgiving, my sister said, “You’re not having pink hair at my wedding” (which is in May). And I promised that I would have grown out and cut it by then. But what if… I show up with chalked hair?

Get it, Helen! She’s absolutely rocking the pink hair. Just to make this all about me—I finally scheduled a haircut for today and was planning to cut off at least 60% of the pink tips, but then I came down with strep throat and didn’t want to infect the good people of Aveda. Guys, strep is the worst. Every time I swallow I have to grab a piece of furniture just to brace myself for the pain.

I was going to take a PhotoBooth-at-my-desk pic to show how nicely the pink in my hair is fading/lasting but decided an artfully cropped pic from New Year’s Eve would do a better job.
If blonde-to-pink ombre hair gets huge in 2013, you all will know who did it first (and it wasn’t Taylor Swift. And it also wasn’t me. But I did do it before Swifty!).
