I tried to recreate these soft curls on Wednesday night—and failed miserably. I couldn’t even attempt to recreate those legs.
“Oh well, he always made a fool of himself whenever Lily was around,” said Sirius, shrugging. “He couldn’t stop himself showing off whenever he got near her.”
“How come she married him?” Harry asked miserably, “She hated him!”
“Nah, she didn’t,” said Sirius.
“She started going out with him in seventh year,” said Lupin.
“Once James had deflated his head a bit,” said Sirius.
“And stopped hexing people for the fun of it,” said Lupin.

She walks up to his door, hesitation flooding her. “I’ll be in my room when you get scared, Evans,” she recalls him telling her not long ago. She remembers scowling at him and marching to her room, making sure her steps were heard; she remembers regretting her actions afterwards as she finds herself in complete darkness, not accustomed to sleeping alone. It was her first night as head girl, there were definitely more nights of this kind to come. She remembers considering his proposal, picking up her wand and casting Lumos as she silently worked her way to his door. Alas, here she is, in front of his door, conflicted and afraid.
“Potter!” she calls out his name. “I was thinking about your… proposal.”
No answer. Her fears grows stronger. Without further thought, she opens his door and mutters “James” so soflty, she is sure that she is the only one who hears it. Both shock and relief take over her when she finds him on his bed, staring at her, only the blue light of her wand illuminating the room.
The Blue Light, a drabble by @ameliaponds
- “And then we locked a first year in the toilets with Peeves. Who, incidentally, was under the effects of a love potion.”
- “I didn’t realize ghosts could be affected.”
- “Oh, it’s VERY possible.”
Despite her best judgment, Lily laughs at the image.
All of the really well done James/Lily gifs and graphics make me momentarily happy but then bummed that we’ll never get a proper prequel movie with Andrew Garfield and Karen Gillian. Can someone write a script and then put together gifs for every scene, please? That’s the only thing that’ll cheer me up.

“Look at me! I’m the quidditch hero! All the girls love me even if I try too hard!” Lily pumps her arm in an act of put-on manly victory.
James laughs despite himself and says jokingly, “Wait, is that meant to be me? Because that is an awful impression.”
For months, I’ve been resisting the tumblr casting of Andrew Garfield/Karen Gillian as Lily and James Potter. They’re too old (remember, the Potters died at 21), they’re too glamorous, they’re just not right. But my opposition has been weakening, and this gif may have finally gotten me on board. They would be a very attractive couple, to be sure. (Too attractive to believably give birth to DanRad? Probably.)
