Arnensee Lake, Switzerland
The waters of Arnensee in Switzerland are so clear they cause boats such as the one in the picture to appear as they are hovering in the air.
The lake is located in Canton of Berne in Switzerland, and can be easily reached with a little planning. Although that first picture has made the lake relatively known, it’s still usually a quiet, tourist-free place.
Going to California tomorrow! My mini-vacation will not be anything like this, but it’s still getting me excited.
I’m arriving in Orange County on Thursday night, staying with my oldest and bestest friend Stephanie, and visiting another dear friend, Katherine, in Pasadena on Friday. Then, on Saturday afternoon, I’m flying to Las Vegas to meet my parents for a Tim McGraw/Faith Hill concert. I hate Vegas (so trashy! So boring if your idea of fun isn’t throwing away your money) and would be perfectly happy never to return, but I LOVE Tim McGraw and couldn’t turn down a chance to see him. Oh, and my parents. But mostly Tim McGraw.

During high tide they swim upstream with their backs barely covered by the shallow water, their stomachs rubbing the small rocks of the riverbed.

Competitors sailed after the start of the three-day Blue Ribbon yachting race around Lake Balaton in Hungary on July 5.
I am officially dying to go on an Amazon river cruise (who else spent hours playing Amazon Trail?) on this badass luxury boat.
Barrels, brah.
Next summer’s vacay should include either second story waterslides or swings over lakes. Or both.
